why is it that I can’t just ask “hey, could you chew with your mouth closed ? The sound really bothers me” and I instead feel like it’s better to say “I’m about to transform into a beast and kill you because of your food sounds” why is it so hard to communicate
Asking in an obviously humorous way feels less rude? Like you know i want you to stop but you know that since im asking in the form of a joke that I dont want to sound like im being mean to you. Or at least thats how I feel when its me.
Because then its like “lol ok ill stop.”
Instead of “Fine if it means you stop bothering me.”
But like most people will just be like “my bad” regardless so just ask for what you want in 2019 tbh
